Ignore the hype of the startups that you see in the press. Mostly, it’s a pack of lies:
A lot of user success stories, if not most are fake. What happens behind closed doors is unknown to anyone, except the startup itself. Press often tend to give the benefit of the doubt.
Half of these startups will be dead in a year:
Success rate in startups is pretty low, thus indeed a lot will fail fast, aka within a year or two.
So, focus on building your business so you can be the one left standing:
