My Opinion:
I would be tempted to say that success depends on founders, and in a way it does. It does in a sense that the founder finds the employees that are suitable to execute the vision and motivate them to do so.
But at the end of the day, success actually depends on the employees… unless the founder and the management are the ones providing the services and the customer support directly (mostly not the case).
Why would success depend on employees ?
– The employee is providing the service or producing the product, thus quality depends partially on this.
– The employees are often the customer support and relation, thus future business or no business depends on them.
– The employees can detect the issues with the business, and if they are smart enough find solutions.
