Another entrepreneurship quote by Walt Disney. Like his previous quote “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing“, this one also is a gentle nudge to start doing.

In essence, this quote is very similar to many other quotes i wrote about:

For this specific quote, i do agree and disagree at the same time!

I do agree : Indeed, dreams need to be pursued to come true, rarely a dream come true with little to no effort. Also pursuing your dream is not an easy decision, it takes a lot of courage to take the plunge and start a business.

I also disagree : They say the devil is in the details. This quote have a subtle word, that really contain a big part of the sense. The word “can” is the single word that can turn around the entire meaning of this apparently optimistic quote, can means yes and no at the same time. Thus the dreams can come true, or can not come true … it’s a matter of chance?
Also, i find the using of the word ‘All your dreams’ a deceptive way to conceal the usage of the word can.

A better wording of this quote would have been: Your dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them and are lucky.
