I love this quote, Oprah Winfrey is a true example of a businesswoman with real entrepreneurial spirit. She knew how to take advantage of multiple opportunities, to establish her multi billion dollar business empire.

Oprah talks about luck, which is a factor many successful entrepreneurs avoid crediting their success to. Even though luck has a huge role in success for most entrepreneurs!

Concerning the quote itself, i like that Oprah is giving an opinion, by saying “i feel” rather than stating her opinion as a fact.

The second point i want to address is “Opportunity”, most businesses encounter opportunities at one time or the other. But, do they take advantage of these opportunities ? Many don’t.

Preparation allows entrepreneurs and businesses to be able to take advantage of opportunities. Be prepared mentally, be prepared technically , prepared financially, and be prepared logistically.

Example: A small restaurant, gets the possibility to make delivery to a company with few hundred employees. If this restaurant invested in a car or motorcycle to make deliveries, then he would be able to take advantage of this opportunity and increase the revenue. If the restaurant was not prepared for deliveries, then he will lose this opportunity.
