As Jobs states it, work will consist a big part of your adult life, if you hate it the time you spend doing it, you will be miserable. If you love it, you will enjoy the time spent and thus be happy. Doing something you love means, you invest 100% of your energy , intelligence and creativity. Doing something that you do not like, means you invest very little of your energy, intelligence and creativity.

Thus let’s create an easy formula:

If you have 100 energy points , 100 creativity points, 100 intelligence points :
– Do something you love, the work will get 300 points, and will prosper and you will succeed.
– Do something you hate, the work will get a max 100 points.

Even if you are a genius with 200 points creativity or intelligence or both :
– Do something you don’t like the work will get 200 points max.
